Transfer to KBU

Are you or have you been a university student, but for various reasons you cannot continue your education at your home university? Here is an offer for you!

Depending on your current status, you can resume your studies or transfer to a semester higher than the first semester, provided that you choose a course of study that is compatible with the course you have previously studied.

• If you have student status, you can apply for transfer provided you have passed at least the first semester of study.
• If you do not have student status (e.g., due to removal from the list of students), but have passed at least the first semester of study, you can apply for resumption of study at our university.

Applications for transfer or renewal are accepted in the winter semester until September 10th, and in the summer semester until February 10th.

Documents necessary in the transfer procedure:
• application for transfer
• written consent of the Dean of the home university to transfer to KBU
• a certificate confirmed by an employee of the home university about the student's status containing information about the semesters passed along with the years in which the person studied
• secondary school certificate/Bachelor diploma for recognition
• list of subjects (the so-called course card) with the number of hours, form of classes, forms of credit and ECTS points confirmed by an employee of the home university.

• a certificate confirmed by an employee of the home university containing information about the semesters passed along with the years in which the person studied
• secondary school certificate/Bachelor diploma for recognition
• a list of subjects (the so-called course card) with the number of hours, form of classes, forms of credit and ECTS points confirmed by an employee of the home university

Decision of the Dean for Student Affairs

Based on the submitted application with attachments - the Dean for Student Affairs in the form of an administrative decision:
• will agree and determine the semester for which the transfer/renewal applicant may be admitted
• will determine the list of courses that the student will be required to pass
• will determine the amount of payments for transfer or renewal

The decision will be communicated to you by an employee of the KBU International Office, who will inform you of the next steps.
