GWSH is continuing to execute its long-term plan of diversifying its educational offer by enriching list of possible majors. This diversification conforms to the changing needs of the Silesian region and the employment prospects our students face upon completion of their studies. The economy of the Silesian area is undergoing a process of restructuring and modernization due to the change in regional focus from heavy industry such as coal mining to other, more modern industries such as automotive as well as communications and services. In part, this is also due to the process of Poland's integration into the European Union.
